Rick Wagner, right tackle
To their credit, the Lions have tried to put an offensive line in front of Matthew Stafford. Perhaps Detroit’s signal-caller would feel a little better knowing at least one of his bodyguards is a Pro Bowler, but there isn’t one in their starting lineup.
Maybe that has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with the fact that they play in Detroit, but after taking Taylor Decker, Joe Dahl, and Graham Glasgow all in 2016’s NFL Draft and a first-round selection in 2018, Frank Ragnow, you can’t say the Lions didn’t mean well.
Still, with the pedigree the Eagles have along the defensive line, the theory is if they’re going to get that pass rush going, this would be a great game to start. Rick Wagner‘s job is to slow down whoever lines up across from him on the outside.
