3. Thursday is just the beginning of a long road ahead.

The 3-0 Green Bay Packers will be, without question, the toughest test so far for the Eagles. Not only do they have a healthy Aaron Rodgers, but they have a tremendous young defense as well. If they are unable to protect Wentz and/or put pressure on Rodgers, it could be a long night in front of a national audience on Thursday Night Football.

After Thursday, the Eagles return to Philadelphia to host the New York Jets who could have Sam Darnold back. Then, they hit the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings. Then, they take on the arch-rival Dallas Cowboys, who are also 3-0 and a very game team in the Buffalo Bills, whose defense is no joke.

They’ll get no break from great defensive play when they host the Chicago Bears who will surely be out for blood after the now-famous ‘double doink’. That game is followed by a tough home game versus the New England Patriots. Fortunately, that follows a bye week.

dark. Next. 5 Eagles that are key to a victory over the Packers

None of that will be easy, but before that happens, there’s a game in Week 4. The Eagles must venture out on a rocky road. This team has to get out of Lambeau Field with a victory. Yes, Alshon Jeffery and Kamu Grugier-Hill should both be back, but if the Eagles are going to win, their offensive and defensive lines must be stellar. They’re two of the most crucial units to a football team’s success and Philly is in danger of seeing their season take an ugly turn if they can’t win in the trenches.
