1. The Eagles need a win to keep pace with the Cowboys and put some distance between themselves and the Giants.

Currently, Philadelphia is tied with the New York Giants for second place in the NFC East. Both teams are 2-2 on the season, and the city of New York is electric over the buzz created by the play of Daniel Jones.

Good news came on Sunday night for both teams as the Dallas Cowboys lost in Week 3. That drops them to a record of 3-1. Both the Giants and Eagles trail Dallas by one game for the division lead, but here’s where Philly’s situation is different. Not all 2-2 records are created equal.

The Eagles still have to play the both the Giants and Cowboys twice this season. Dallas beat the New York on opening weekend, giving themselves a division win and a head-to-head tiebreaker for the time being, but going forward, the way these three teams play each other and the outcomes of their head-to-head games will go a long way in determining how things shake up.

That’s not all. This may determine who winds up being the NFC East champion.
