New England Patriots. 1. team. 47. . 4-0. Previous: 1st

The Patriots walked into the offseason several months ago knowing they’d be without Rob Gronkowski going forward. That sucked, but spirits were still high because everyone knew what they Patriots did have, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

In spite of everything, including injuries to Julian Edelman and whatever that was with Antonio Brown, the Patriots just roll right along. Their defense has been hyped to epic levels, but we can’t attack the Cowboys for this and not do the same with New England.

We need to see this team play better competition before we say this defense is the second coming of the 1985 Chicago Bears, but we can say this now. Who’s the one team that you could argue would be favored in all of their remaining games? That’s why this team tops this list.

team. 124. . 4-0. Previous: 2nd. Kansas City Chiefs. 2

The Chiefs are seen by many NFL pundits as the one team that can keep the Patriots out of the Super Bowl. They’re being attacked for having an off game versus the Detroit Lions (that they still won), but it needs to be said again.

Sometimes, even great teams can look bad, and at times, the Chiefs, clearly one of the best teams in the NFL, struggled on Sunday. Ladies and gentlemen, don’t believe the hype. Most of you want to believe the Lions are bad because they’ve always been bad. That isn’t the case in 2019.

The Chiefs went on the road and played a game opponent. They struggled, but they won. There’s no shame in any of that.
