Team MVP: Carson Wentz

Well, we can’t call QB1 a potential candidate for league MVP if we aren’t certain that he’s a legitimate team MVP, can we? We can go on and on about what Wentz has given to this team, but the best example of his leadership has come in adversity.

He’s bounced back from a slow start in Week 1 to bring his team back. He threw two interceptions in Week 2 before he showed that he does, indeed, have a clutch gene.

He played well in Week 3, but in that one, his teammates let him down. Then, with everyone hurting and with all of the media looking for someone to point the finger at, he picked up his comrades and supported them both privately and publicly.

Should we be shocked that this team beat the Packers in Week 4? Any conversations about whether or not this team will play for Wentz in the same manner that they did for Nick Foles should be over. Any talk about whether or not he’s truly the future of the NFL should definitely be over.

The future looks to be a mighty bright one in Philly.
