1. Fletcher Cox, defensive tackle

Everything that’s gone on with Fletcher Cox can be explained. In hindsight, he probably came back a little earlier than he should have, but he’s starting to work his way back to looking like the ‘Fletch’ Eagles fans are familiar with.

In a conversation that the team’s defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, had with the media, he credited Rodney McLeod‘s interception to the pressure Cox put on Luke Falk. As Schwartz stated, Cox probably would have rather had the sack, but everyone else would rather have the interception. The point is this.

Some things can’t be calculated by stats, and yes, Cox must step up and do any more than he’s already done. Whether fair or unfair, when he signed a $103 million extension with $63 million guaranteed in 2016, that became a part of the job description.
