2. Corey Clement, running back

Excitement built around Corey Clement for the duration of his rookie season and exploded once he became one of the key pieces of the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory in 2017 (or 2018 if we’re being technical). Unfortunately, it’s never been that good for Clement in an Eagles’ jersey since then.

2018’s regular season ended for him on December 11th of 2018 when he suffered a knee injury. He’s been working to find his way in an offense that’s changed since he was last a part of it, but now, with Darren Sproles out, that needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Jordan Howard is the most experienced of what the Eagles hope becomes a trio at running back, but this is the first season that he’s been in Eagles’ midnight green jersey (and history has taught us that it could potentially be the only season that he is). Miles Sanders is the rookie. He has talent, but he’s unproven.

That means that, if we’ve seen the last of Darren Sproles (another real possibility), Clement becomes the most seasoned of the Eagles’ running backs. Don’t look now, but Clement is approaching ‘team leader’ status. Let’s hope he turns a couple of disappointing seasons around.
