Injury: Shoulder

What’s been going on with this guy, Corey Clement? Talk about regression. Two seasons ago, Clement was a shining diamond in the rough as he thrived within the Eagles offense as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin. Some even consider him to be a ‘Super Bowl hero.’

Then last season, the Eagles upped Clement’s workload as injuries called for help. Unfortunately, the sophomore slump kicked in at the worst time possible, and Clement struggled to produce at a substantial level for the Eagles. Eventually, he ended up hurting his knee, ending his season.

Now this year, Clement has zero production on the offense. Instead, the Eagles wanted to use him as a kick returner. But after fumbling and going down with a shoulder injury in week two, Clement hasn’t really seen the field. He returned for last week’s game as a substitute for Darren Sproles on the punt return, but he fumbled there too, leaving him benched for the rest of the game.

This week, Clement’s shoulder injury has come back to bother him. Suddenly, the potential Sproles’ replacement has missed the last three practices as of Friday. Now, Clement is ruled out for Sunday’s game as the Eagles will have to look to Nelson Agholor or call up Boston Scott in order to have them fielding punts.
