1. This unofficial rivalry writes another chapter.

For two teams that don’t meet that often, this series has quietly become one of the more heated rivalries in all of football, and that may not even be because of how these two teams feel about one another. Both Philly and Minnesota lay claim to two of the more loyal fanbases in sports, and over the past two years, they’ve tended to get on one another’s nerves.

Vikings fans would like to state the reason for that is because they were mistreated when they visited Lincoln Financial Field during their meeting in an NFC Championship Game. That one took place on January 21st of 2018.

What they tend to forget is they did that annoying ‘Skol’ chant in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. What followed was a 38-7 beatdown in said NFC Championship Game, where Eagles fans replaced ‘Skol’ with ‘Foles’ to salute the beloved Nick Foles, and these two fan bases have been getting on each other’s nerves ever since.

In total, these two proud franchises have met 28 times, including four times in the postseason, with both sides winning 14 apiece. Their 29th meeting is also the fourth time they’ve seen one another in four seasons. As usual, the game means a ton for both sides.
