5. Hassan Ridgeway, DT

We mentioned before that Fletcher Cox doesn’t have the typical help that he usually would without Jernigan or Jackson on the field. That wasn’t a shot towards defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway though. While Ridgeway might be a third-string defensive tackle, he’s been decent.

On Sunday, Ridgeway stood out a few times as he was disruptive in stopping the run. The Eagles defense might struggle to cover wide receivers or get pressure on the opposing team’s quarterback, but they still continue to excel in preventing running backs to go off.

Ridgeway helped a lot in that department. With three total tackles, Ridgeway managed to collect two of them behind the line. With the Jets matchup followed by the Vikings game, we’re slowly becoming intrigued with what Ridgeway has to offer. When Jernigan comes back, Ridgeway will benefit from fewer snaps as he’s performed relatively well when asked to step up.
