When Doug Pederson made his comments, a few players talked a tiny amount of trash, but ultimately shrugged it off. However, on Friday, Cowboys’ star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence couldn’t do that. He had to come back with some firey comments.

It sure sounds like Lawrence is ready to turn his play up a notch on Sunday, and Eagles’ right tackle Lane Johnson needs to do all that he can to prevent Lawrence from turning his anger into a superstar performance. And guess what? We have full confidence in him doing just that.

Lawrence is a good pass rusher — there’s no denying that. But Johnson might be an even better right tackle. These two have faced off quite a bit during their careers, and Johnson seems to always get the best of Lawrence, who has zero sacks against the Eagles. All offseason, and all season long, Lawrence has been looking at something to get mad at, to motivate him against the Eagles. So Johnson knows that he’s coming full force this week.
