4. Zach Ertz, TE

The Philadelphia Eagles star tight end has been placed on a milk carton these last couple of weeks. Where in the world has Zach Ertz been? Last season, Ertz ended up breaking the receptions record for all tight ends. This season, he hasn’t really been much of a factor.

It’s not because Dallas Goedert has been stealing snaps away from him, either. Perhaps, Ertz hasn’t been able to really break free from the double-teams that opposing defenses are throwing at him. But even when Ertz has been getting targeted, he hasn’t really been all that dangerous either. In fact, he even had a critical turnover two weeks ago when the Eagles were attempting a comeback.

Ertz is supposed to be one of the Eagles’ most dangerous weapons, but he just hasn’t been much of a threat, which is unfortunate because he’s typically Wentz’s security blanket when all else is going wrong. And of course, all else has been absolutely going wrong. This week, the Wentz-Ertz connection needs to get it together, unless somebody else in the passing game plans to step up.
