4. You can’t mention bad trades without bringing up ‘DGB’.

On August 16th of 2016, the Philadelphia Eagles traded offensive tackle Dennis Kelly to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Only the Good Lord in Heaven and Dorial Green-Beckham can give us all a real explanation about what happened to ‘DGB’. Once upon a time, he was a two-time USA Today High School All-American and Rival.com’s number one overall prospect in the nation. After two seasons with the Missouri Tigers, Tennessee took him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, but that’s where things start to get a little strange.

They gave up on him after his rookie season. The Eagles gave him another chance.

It made sense. They had a rookie quarterback. We didn’t know he’d be the day-one starter but he was definitely in the fold and on the organization’s mind. If ‘DGB’ had anything left, he could have served as a big target for Carson Wentz for years to come. It didn’t work.

You can’t blame Philly for trying but based on what ‘DGB’ was supposed to be and what he became, you can only label him one way. He was a bust two times over.
