Andre Dillard, OT

Round 1, Pick 22

The Eagles used some extra draft ammunition to acquire the 22nd pick in the draft. With that, they selected Washington State’s left tackle, Andre Dillard. Obviously, Dillard was brought to Philly to train and eventually take over Jason Peters’ spot as the left tackle.

Since the Eagles planned to bring Peters back, though, it was assumed that Dillard would red-shirt year one, barring any injuries. Well, that didn’t last very long. This weekend, Dillard will make his third start for the Eagles as Peters has been dealing with a lower-body injury.

He’s had some moments where he has looked solid. Then Dillard’s also had some moments where he looked like extra help was needed. All in all, Dillard is still learning. However, the future looks promising with him at left tackle. This is still a decent pick to this day.
