Phillip Daniels, defensive line coach

Does anyone have any idea why Derek Barnett hasn’t progressed past average? Can anyone provide an explanation for why the selections of Josh Sweat and Shareef Miller have led to nothing and why veterans like Vinny Curry are just awful?

Every success of the defensive line is a result of the fact that they have talent like Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham, not because this team is getting anything out of Phillip Daniels as a coach. Grade: D

Ken Flajole, linebackers coach

At some point, the Eagles have to put some kind of stock in the linebacker position. Nigel Bradham, when he plays at the top of his game, can be just as good as anyone in the NFL. Still, the revolving door at linebacker never seems to end and there are questions about Ken Flajole.

Has Nate Gerry progressed because of good coaching or because he’s good? Has T.J. Edwards come along slowly because he’s limited or because he’s been failed by Flajole? Grade: C-
