What if the L.A. Rams actually took Wentz?

Here’s a story that we believe to be true, even if we don’t know who told the story. Once upon a time, the Los Angeles Rams had the top pick in the NFL Draft, and Philly sat at number two. The story was, even if Philly had the first pick, they would have still taken Carson Wentz, but what if they didn’t?

What if L.A. took Wentz? The Rams would have beaten the ‘Birds’ in 2017, Wentz would have actually won the MVP trophy, and he probably never scrambles and ruptures his ACL and MCL. There’s no nine-game winning streak in Philly in 2017, no home-field advantage in that season’s playoffs, and probably no Super Bowl. No, Wentz didn’t win the Super Bowl. Foles did, but they wouldn’t have been in that position had it not been for Wentz. Some of you have forgotten that.

Now, would the Rams have won it all in Super Bowl LII? Well never know, but here’s what we can bank on.

We know last season’s version of Wentz was good enough to get them two touchdowns versus the New England Patriots in the most recent.
