What if Wentz played for the Jets?

Sam Darnold is regressing guys, but is that Darnold’s fault? Could some of the issue be that the New York Jets are a snakebitten franchise with Adam Gase leading the charge? Here’s the bad news. If Carson Wentz would have played with the Jets, he’d be a victim of bad leadership, bad coaching, and bad decision making. Then again, some would say that’s the same issue he has with the Eagles.

Here’s some good news. Playing for the Jets would have given Wentz two guaranteed wins annually. Oh, he can beat the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills every season. There’s an issue though. Playing in the AFC East also means that Carson Wentz gets two games every season versus the G.O.A.T., Tom Brady.

His coaches have to match wits every single season with the greatest coach in the history of pro football, Bill Belichick and his dynasty within a dynasty. Carson Wentz is great, but that’s a major hurdle that he may have not been able to leap.

To make long stories short, if Wentz played in that other green jersey, he’d be seen as a good quarterback, but all we’d be talking about is when is he going to beat the Patriots?
