Philadelphia Eagles: Listen to Skip Bayless trash his Cowboys
What could be more satisfying for a Philadelphia Eagles fan than watching the ultimate Cowboys homer trash his team? The answer is a simple one. Absolutely nothing is.
Certain things are certain in life, and this is true whether you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan or anyone else. Taxes are certain. At some point, death will be certain, and the delusion of the Dallas Cowboys‘ fan base will exist forever. Cowboys fans are among the most football illiterate fans in all of the professional sports. That’s how they were before most of us were born. That’s how they’ll continue to be when we’re gone. Look no further than Skip Bayless.
If you don’t believe that about Cowboys fans, just open your Twitter account. If you don’t believe that, think of how often you’ve gotten frustrated while trying to have a rational conversation with one of them. Think of how often you’ve tuned in to FS1’s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed and asked yourselves whether or not Skip Bayless actually believes some of the things that he says.
Surely, some of that is just to get people talking, right?
When we all think of Cowboys homers, we think about Bayless, so there’s no way this one’s going to slide. Following perhaps one of the most satisfying losses for Eagles fans by Dallas of the 2019 campaign, ‘Drip Bayless’ went on his highly-popular television show and unloaded on his beloved team.
Turn the television down, put your phone on silent, and try to fight back a smile as you give this one a very thorough listen.
Now, as great as that was, it’s erroneous for one reason. The season isn’t over for the Cowboys. Philly still has to take care of their own business, something that they haven’t done consistently all season. The winner of the NFC East probably still comes down to who wins when the Eagles host the Cowboys in Week 16 at Lincoln Financial Field.
There’s still a ton of football left to be played, and from what we’ve seen from both teams, unless something changes drastically, either one of these teams would be doomed in the postseason. That’s no guarantee either, however. You can’t win the whole thing if you don’t get in. All of that pales in comparison to the more recent news though. A delusional Cowboys fan finally saw his team for what they are. That alone is worth cheering for.
