1. Fletcher Cox

It’s almost as if no one wants to offend Fletcher Cox. Yes, he’s the best player on this Eagles team. Yes, he’s arguably the best defensive tackle in all of the NFL (only Aaron Donald can be seen as being better), but this hasn’t been a Fletcher Cox type of season.

He wears the captain’s ‘C’ on his jersey for a reason, and it isn’t because of talent. It’s because he has to play at a higher level and get in the face of a few of his homies on defense who aren’t doing the same.

2. Derek Barnett

Here’s a true statement. There’s no reason to believe that Derek Barnett isn’t capable of reaching the potential that made the Eagles select him with the 14th-overall selection in 2017. Here’s another true statement. So far, he hasn’t done so with any consistency. He has to be better. He has to be better now, and a nice showing down the stretch will ease a few minds.
