3. Cowboys can’t defeat teams with winning records

This season has been filled with plenty of frustrating factors for the Cowboys, but there’s no question the team’s inability to beat teams with winning records ranks near the top of the list.

From the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving Day to the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers during their three-game losing streak, Dallas has seen plenty of chance to show they can compete with the best, only to come up short each time.

Even their most recent loss to the Bears was another perfect opportunity to prove themselves worthy since Chicago is technically still alive for one of the Wild Card spots in the NFC.

If the Cowboys can’t even find a way to defeat legitimate playoff contenders, why should anyone feel confident in their chances of advancing in the playoffs if the opportunity presents itself in January?

Not to mention, with Dallas having two remaining games against the Rams and Eagles as previously discussed, if the struggles continue against playoff-caliber teams, this will only help Philadelphia’s chances to win the NFC East title.

The Eagles may not have a winning record like some of the other contenders that have defeated the Cowboys, but since Philadelphia is still in the discussion, it only seems fair to place them in the category.
