5. Anthony Rush, defensive tackle

Since Malik Jackson went down in the season opener, the Eagles have been searching for a defensive tackle who can make any impact and give Fletcher Cox a break. With Cox constantly seeing double-teams, the Eagles need another threat who can take on opposing offensive lineman one-on-one. Timmy Jernigan has not been able to stay on the field or consistently get the job done when he is on the field.

Anthony Rush has seen an increased snap count since being brought back to Philly in late October. The undrafted rookie has been a help in stopping the run, collecting two tackles for a loss over the course of the last two weeks and seven total tackles in five games. He also had a nice pass deflection last week against Miami.

While he may not form the dynamic duo with Cox that Jackson would have, he has been contributing. He’s been similar to what Treyvon Hester was for this team last season.
