5. Brandin Cooks

Before Brandin Cooks even suited up for a single game with the Los Angeles Rams in 2018, the team decided to reward the speedy without with a hefty five-year, $81 million extension to make sure he would be around for the long run.

At the time of the trade, the Rams were in a win-now mode, and willing to bring on any player possible to put them in the best position possible to win the Super Bowl.

With Cooks nearing the end of his second season in Los Angeles, it’s difficult not to wonder if the Rams regret investing all that money in the speedster based off his production from this season.

Not only did Cooks suffer two concussions in the month of October, but in 10 games with the Rams during the 2019 season, he only has 31 catches for 458 yards with one touchdown.

For a receiver who previously recorded four season in a row with more than 1,000 receiving yards, Cooks has clearly been one of the biggest disappointments on the Rams this year.

Since Los Angeles also has Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp for Jared Goff to rely on, the offense would seem to have little trouble adjusting without Cooks part of the picture if they were to consider a trade.
