9. December 10th, 2006: The Sack that helped Philly into the playoffs

Deciding the tenth best game on this list actually came down to two games that were greatly impacted by the always-superior play of, perhaps, the most beloved Eagle of all time, Brian Dawkins.

In one, ‘Weapon X’ wrestled an interception thrown by Patrick Ramsey out of the hands of one of his own teammates (Lito Sheppard) in the back of the endzone to preserve a 17-14 victory in a game where Philly was held scoreless in the fourth quarter. That win gave the ‘Birds’ a fifth straight-win during the 2004 regular season.

In the other (the game we chose), ‘Dawk’ helped keep a late-season playoff push in 2006 alive with a Jason Campbell sack to hold the Redskins to a field goal in Week 14 of the regular season. The result was a 21-19 win that put the Eagles in the playoffs and helped them earn the NFC East title that season.
