Possible replacements for Jason Garrett

ITI: Here were our top-five guesses at who might replace Jason Garrett: Robert Saleh, Ron RiveraJim Harbaugh, Lincoln Riley, and Urban Meyer. Now, we’re not so sure about that list, and Urban Meyer just showed up in D.C. If the Cowboys do move on, who do you see as the five guys who may take over?

Steven Mullenax: Urban Meyer, Lincoln Riley, Baylor’s Matt Rhule, Ron Rivera, and Josh McDaniels would be my top-five at this moment.

I think the preferred choice would have been current New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, but since Payton signed a five-year contract extension earlier this year to remain in New Orleans, it’s unlikely that some sort of blockbuster trade is made to acquire him this offseason.

One thing is for sure though. If the Cowboys decide to move on from their longtime head coach, Jason Garrett after the season, there will be no shortage of available names from both the professional and college ranks to choose from.
