4. Fletcher Cox

Looking back at the draft in 2012, thank goodness the Eagles were smart enough to select Fletcher Cox in the first round when they did after looking at the impact he’s made on defense throughout his career.

Cox’s numbers may be down this current season, but the fact that he’s earned trips to the Pro Bowl in each of the last five years, and finished with a career high 10.5 sacks in 2018 shows how valuable he’s been to Philadelphia.

Rewarding Cox with a hefty six-year extension back in 2016 seemed like one of the easiest decisions in the world at the time for the Eagles, and his presence will continue to keep the defense in great shape for years to come.

Similar to Graham, Cox could be a long shot when the time comes, but his resume alone over the last eight years at least makes him worth the consideration, especially if he helps the team earn another Super Bowl title at some point.

With the way Philadelphia is built on both sides of the football, including Cox on defense, to be contenders in the NFC for years to come, this doesn’t sound so far fetched to think about for the Eagles.
