Philadelphia Eagles: 5 questions for Week 16 battle with Cowboys
By Dan Parzych
2. How will Prescott’s shoulder look?
Speaking of Prescott, there’s plenty of concern all of a sudden after the Cowboys star quarterback suffered a shoulder injury in the win over the Rams that has been bothering him all week.
At the moment, Prescott continues to claim he will still play regardless on Sunday against the Eagles no matter what, but also this is always easier said than done.
Even if Prescott suits up, how effective he will be under center for Dallas is a different story since Philadelphia’s defense will do everything in their power to apply as much pressure as possible.
Since the Cowboys are in great position to clinch the NFC East in Week 16 and potentially provide certain key players extra rest by sitting in Week 17, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear that Prescott plans on playing.
But if the shoulder turns out to be more of an issue, and Prescott struggles to move the football down the field, this could turn out to be a surprise advantage for the Eagles, as bad as that sounds.
Prescott has certainly had Philadelphia’s numbers over the years, but hopefully the Eagles can finally come through this time around when looking at what happens to be on the line.
