3. Scott becoming new offensive threat

Over the next few days, the Eagles should have a better idea over the seriousness of the injury to Sanders after the rookie was forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Giants, but at least Boston Scott stepped up when needed the most.

A few weeks ago, Scott emerged out of nowhere to help Philadelphia fight their way back in the win over New York, but this didn’t even come close to the kind of performance the young running back displayed in Week 17.

Not only did Scott finish with 138 yards from scrimmage, but the Eagles running back managed to rush for three touchdowns as well, all of which came in the second half to help take down the Giants.

It’s difficult to determine a player’s future after only a few games, but what Scott has been able to do in order to help Philadelphia win the division makes it seem like he will be a lock for a roster spot in 2020 unless something drastic happens.

Other than Sanders, the Eagles don’t really know what to expect in 2020 at the running back position, but another strong outing by Scott when facing the Seahawks could result in an increased role beyond this season.
