1. The Seahawks are dominant on the road.

The home-road splits for the Seahawks are surprising considering how loud it gets at CenturyLink Field. They’re just 4-4 in Seattle but own a 7-1 record on the road this year. Most would think this gives the Seahawks a major advantage but let’s take a deeper dive into their road schedule.

They started out by defeating a Pittsburgh Steelers team in week 2 that lost Ben Roethlisberger and James Conner in the middle of the game. This is also a Steelers offense that ranked third-worst in the NFL in yards per game and sixth-worst in points per game, but the Seahawks escaped narrowly with a 28-26 victory over a team that will be watching the playoffs ‘from the couch’.

In week 6, they traveled to play a struggling Cleveland Browns team. The Browns had problems all season and recently parted ways with both their coach and general manager due to an underwhelming 6-10 record. After trailing by a 20-6 score early in the second quarter, the ‘Hawks rallied as Chris Carson punched in a touchdown in the final minutes of the game that gave them a 32-28 victory.

Two weeks later in Georgia, the Seahawks took care of business and controlled the game against the Atlanta Falcons for the most part, but that was against backup quarterback Matt Schaub, who completed 39 of 52 pass attempts for 460 yards. A Falcons team that would eventually win a mere seven games nearly rallied towards the end but came up short in a 27-20 loss.
