Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Seahawks on offense to fear Wild Card Round
By Dan Parzych
3. Tyler Lockett
With Doug Baldwin no longer around, Tyler Lockett has easily become Russell Wilson‘s favorite target to work with in the passing game, and when looking at the wideout’s previous playoff history, he’s capable of exploding for a monster game at any given time.
As impressive as it was to see Lockett find the end zone eight times this season after recording 10 touchdowns the year before, it was even more impressive to watch him set career highs of 82 catches for 1,057 yards as well.
Since Philadelphia’s secondary has been banged-up for the most part all season, no one needs to explain the concerns over someone like Lockett potentially breaking out for a big game during the Wild Card Round.
Seattle’s offense is loaded with plenty of talent for Wilson to work with, and if Philadelphia allows Lockett to make a big play or two in the passing game, it’s only going to add more pressure to the offensive side of the football.
The Eagles certainly deserve credit for keeping Lockett to catching just one pass for 38 yards during the first meeting at the end of November, but since the playoffs are a whole new season, the results should be much different on Sunday.
