2. Alabama Cornerback Trevon Diggs

Don’t act all surprised to see another Alabama prospect on this list since it only seems fair to discuss again how there’s a good chance the Crimson Tide will see numerous defenders selected in the first round of the draft once April arrives.

Not to sound repetitive, but it’s safe to assume the Eagles will use one of their early picks on a cornerback after seeing the inconsistent play from the group throughout the 2019 season.

Without question, the decision to make the switch from wide receiver to cornerback after his freshman year at Alabama was the best choice Trevon Diggs could make.

As a result, Diggs will enter April’s draft as one of the top prospects at the position, and could even end up being a higher draft pick in the first round, depending on how the next couple of months go.

Of course, for the sake of the Eagles if the interest were there, the team would love to see Diggs available at No. 21 since he seems like a great cornerback to work with the current group of young players on defense.

Tackling may be an area in need of improvement for Diggs, but hopefully this can be addressed once the transition to the NFL is made in a few months from now.
