4. Will Eagles finally move on from Agholor?

During the 2018 offseason, Philadelphia rightfully believed it was worth exercising the fifth-year option on Nelson Agholor‘s contract since the former first-round pick seemed like he would benefit from playing alongside Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson in 2019.

But with Jeffery and Jackson dealing with injuries at times, the Eagles were reminded once again how unreliable Agholor can be when the offense needs him to step up in the passing game.

Clearly, the best way to get the most production from Agholor is to use him in the slot, but also since the injuries were out of Philadelphia’s control, it was disappointing to see their wideout continue to struggle when given an increased workload.

Not to mention, it was a shame to see Agholor miss the final four games due to a knee injury that apparently had been bothering him since all the way back in October.

Around this time last year, Agholor appeared to have a bright future in Philadelphia, but with his inability to step up along with all of the dropped passes in key situations, maybe it would be best for both parties if the Eagles allowed the wideout to hit the open market.
