Fifth Round: Florida WR Van Jefferson

One can only imagine how different the playoffs would be for the Eagles if they weren’t dealing with so many injures at the wide receiver position, but hopefully the situation turns out to be much better in 2020.

With that being said, as mentioned before, Philadelphia seems to have more questions than answers at the position entering the offseason since Agholor’s contract is up while other such as Jeffery and Jackson are dealing with injuries.

Depending on how the next few months go, the Eagles could be looking to add a few receivers during the offseason, whether it happens to be through free agency or the draft in April.

If Philadelphia does decide to use the draft to add a few players at wideout, the good news is there will be plenty of great options to choose from.

Based off his previous two seasons at Florida, Van Jefferson seems like the kind of player who continues to get better with experience, and it was great to see the wideout finish with 49 catches for 657 yards to go along with six touchdowns in 2019.

This late in the draft, the Eagles would have nothing to lose in a pick like Jefferson, and could even end up with a major steal if he were to make a name for himself as a rookie.
