2. Guys like Jenkins don’t grow on trees.

If you know any other safeties that are over 30 years old who play like All-Pros every single season and never come off of the field, there are quite a few NFL franchises who are probably interested in listening. Brian Dawkins was a rare specimen. That’s a trait that he and Jenkins share.

Malcolm Jenkins is as close to being a superhero as any mortal man can be. He’s where terms like ‘freak of nature’ comes from.

He’s started every single game that he’s played with the Eagles since he arrived in 2014. The Eagles have had their issues with injuries but not where Jenkins is concerned. In ’27’ they’ve got a guy that they can plug in and let go.

He’s played 100 percent of the snaps that the Eagles have played on defense since his arrival except for the 2017 season where he still was on the field for 947 plays. That’s 92 percent of the snaps. That season, he missed a few plays in an Eagles blowout win over the Denver Broncos and every starter sat out of the majority of that season’s finale versus the Dallas Cowboys.

At this point, we all should probably contact him to ask him about his diet and what he and his personal trainer talk about whenever they get together.
