1. Jalen Mills

Without question, cornerback will be the top position in need of improvement in the offseason when looking at all of the inconsistency from the group in 2019.

And if the Eagles are without Jalen Mills in 2020 due to allowing the cornerback to sign with another team in free agency, it will only make things more complicated on the defensive side of the football.

As frustrating as it has been to see all of the games missed over the last two seasons due to a foot injury, Mills proved in the second half of 2019 that he can still be one of the top cornerbacks Philadelphia needs on defense.

When looking at how valuable he’s been on defense over the last four years, it’s amazing to consider that Mills is a former seventh-round pick, and the Eagles clearly ended up with one of the biggest steals from the draft back in 2016.

Assuming Mills can remain healthy, this almost seems like too easy of a decision for Philadelphia, but also far from a guarantee.
