Boston Scott

Before Boston Scott ever took a snap in the NFL, he was seen as being the Eagles’ ‘next Darren Sproles’. Why? Much like Sanders, Scott was seen to have a keen sense of contributing as both a receiver and a runner.

Here’s what’s weird. Sanders was a sixth-round selection by the New Orleans Saints that never got on the field with an offensive genius, Sean Payton, for a head coach and with Drew Brees as his quarterback. The Saints added Scott to their initial 53-man roster, but he was waived on September 5th of 2018. He was re-signed to their practice squad and Philly signed him off of that squad three months later.

That’s when he met Darren Sproles. Philly gave Scott his shot in Week 6, but it came in a limited role. By Week 14, he was asked to do more, and he answered the call. Now, he’s got 817 total yards and five touchdowns on his resume. Ask him how he feels about Sproles and see what he tells you.
