Philadelphia Eagles: 10 free agents to potentially replace Nelson Agholor
By Dan Parzych
10. A.J. Green
Even though A.J. Green‘s ankle was originally expected to only keep the wideout for a few games in 2019 with the Cincinnati Bengals, the wideout would end up missing the entire regular season, and has an unknown future with the team that drafted him back in 2011.
Despite some talk over the months about a potential contract extension, if the Bengals are in fact moving in a different direction for the 2020 season after only winning two games this past season, chances are Green could be in search of a new team.
With that being said, as much as a team like the Eagles would love to add a talented wideout in Green, this seems like a long shot at the moment since the wideout will be looking for a hefty contract.
Since Philadelphia already has a ton of money tied to another key receiver in Jeffery, this could make any chance of signing Green a little bit complicated, but there’s always hope.
At this stage in his career, Green would most likely prefer to join a team with a legitimate shot at competing for a Super Bowl title, and with Philadelphia reaching the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, maybe this would be a match.
