If you just close your eyes for a few seconds and say the name Trevon Diggs, it just sounds like you’re talking about a guy that was born to go to the NFL and play cornerback or linebacker. In the case of this six-foot-two, 195-pound cover guy, any professional football team that takes him is truly getting a guy who plays the position of the former but thinks like someone who plays the position of the latter.

If wide receivers look into a mirror and say Diggs’ name three times, then legend has it he appears in the mirror, kind of like that Candyman movie.

Okay, that last statement may be overdoing things slightly, but you can best believe that wide receivers who had to line up across from him and offensive coordinators that had to gameplan for him, no doubt, lost a ton of sleep on the eve of games versus the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Diggs is a day-one prospect who has a better chance of still being on the board when the Eagles are on the clock in Round 1. Diggs was enjoying a great season in 2018 before a foot injury ended his season. In 2019, he added 37 total tackles, three interceptions and eight passes defended to his career.
