58. . . . Chris Thompson. 10. player

The Philadelphia Eagles have seen a lot more of Chris Thompson than they probably would have liked over the course of the last several years. He’s spent his entire seven-year career with the Washington Redskins. That didn’t equate to a ton of work. He’s only gotten 36 carries in the 12 career games he’s had against Philly.

The thing about Thompson is he’s a gifted receiver. He’s caught 212 passes for 1,772 yards and ten touchdowns. Add that to the 1,194 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns he has for his career, and you’ve got something the Eagles’ coaches have always loved, an offensive weapon with versatility. The one downside is he’s close to 30 years old, the death sentence for many NFL running backs.

10. . . . Carlos Hyde. 9. player

The Houston Texans don’t seem to be too high on Carlos Hyde, and that’s for good reason. Sure, he’s racked up some numbers, but the eyeball test tells you that he’s pretty pedestrian.

If the choice came down to Jordan Howard or Carlos Hyde, you go with Howard, but if Philly’s looking to save money and, maybe add another guy at the position, Hyde is as good a prospect as some other guys who will come with more fanfare.
