8. Geno Smith

Believe it or not, the Seattle Seahawks marked the fourth team in four seasons for Geno Smith in the NFL, and similar to the situation with Glennon, that streak could extend in the next few months, depending on how free agency goes.

Originally, expectations were high surrounding Smith in 2013 after the New York Jets decided to use a second-round pick on the West Virginia product with the hope he would solve their previous issues at quarterback.

Over the next few years, the Jets provided Smith with numerous opportunities to prove himself worthy of the starting job, but similar to a few other players already discussed, it’s clear he’s better off as a backup.

With that being said, there may be come hesitation over signing Smith due to his previous failed attempts to be reliable as a starter, but maybe after bouncing around all these years, Philadelphia could finally be the fit he’s been searching for after all these years.

If anything, the Eagles should consider how the Seahawks feel confident in Smith backing up Russell Wilson, and use this as a pro if they were to explore the possibility of him becoming the backup to Wentz in Philadelphia during the 2020 season.
