For all of the issues that the Eagles had on offense, there was one thing that they could hang their hat on. The offensive line did their job, with the exception of that play versus the Lions. You know the one. Think back to that clip we kept seeing where the line literally stopped playing and Carson Wentz got sacked.

Other than that and a few mishaps here and there, Jeff Stoutland’s guys were ready to play week in and week out. That’s not all either. Stout’s guys improved, learned new skills along the way and got better as the season went along. There may not be another line in the NFL with four starters who could literally be ALL-Pros every year (Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Brooks). The other starter, Isaac Seumalo, played at a high level down the stretch and can play multiple positions along the offensive front.

Are you still having questions about ‘Stout’? How about this? What about ‘Big V’? While Philly’s reserve tackle is a man that the team has tried to rid themselves of for a few seasons, there has to be a point where people understand that guys like ‘Big V’ are rare. There aren’t too many reserve tackles in the NFL that can play guard and fill in at both the left tackle and right tackle position and do so admirably.
