Round 2: Louisville OT Mekhi Becton

Rightfully so, the Eagles have made it a top priority over the last couple of years to make sure Carson Wentz receives the proper protection from the offensive line since the Philadelphia quarterback has unfortunately dealt with all sorts of injuries.

Looking at the current group of offensive lineman, the Eagles have a few key veterans who unfortunately aren’t getting any younger, and while they have some young prospects with potential, there’s always room for depth.

Over the last few months, Mekhi Becton has entered the conversation of being a potential first or second-round pick when looking at the impact made for Louisville‘s offensive line over the last two years.

Becton has the kind of size and power that makes it seem like his transition to the NFL should be smoother compared to other players at his position.

Not to mention, with Becton’s ability to help pave the way for openings in the ground game, this could benefit the Eagles’ offense in a big way with Miles Sanders expected to take on a larger role during his sophomore campaign as the top running back of the group.

There’s always the chance of Becton being off the board before Philadelphia is on the clock during the second round, but if available, this almost seems like too easy of a decision.
