Philadelphia Eagles: 10 draft picks to potentially replace Nate Sudfeld
By Dan Parzych
1. Jacob Eason
Just like the situation with Morgan, the best decision Jacob Eason made for his football career was the decision to transfer from Georgia to Washington since the quarterback is now considered one of the top players at his position entering the draft.
Despite showing some potential as a freshman with the Bulldogs in 2016, Eason unfortunately suffered a knee injury during the 2017 season that eventually paved the way for Fromm to take over the starting role.
Since Eason clearly wanted to be in the best position to be a starter, the transfer to Washington seemed to work out best for both parties after looking at the impressive 2019 campaign put together that resulted in passing for 3,132 yards with 23 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.
Eason’s arm strength alone should result in numerous teams expressing interest in the quarterback, and his ability to turn plays that appear to be dead into something big is another example of the potential for the NFL.
This year’s draft class will feature plenty of great options for Philadelphia to consider at quarterback if they decided to use one of their selections, and while plenty could change over the next few months, Eason seems like the best option for the Eagles as of now.
