Philadelphia Eagles: 10 draft picks to potentially replace Nate Sudfeld
By Dan Parzych
8. Jalen Hurts
Ever since Jalen Hurts was a freshman at Alabama, it seemed like only a matter of time before the quarterback would make his way to the NFL.
Even if Hurts would eventually make the transfer from the Crimson Tide to Oklahoma in order to be the starter instead of watching from the sidelines, this shouldn’t take away from his potential at the NFL level.
If anything, all football fans need to do is look at the fact that Hurts finished his college career in one of the strongest ways possible by nearly throwing for 4,000 yards with the Sooners in 2019 to go along with 32 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.
Of course, this is another scenario in which football fans need to be reminded that just because Hurts was successful in college doesn’t necessarily mean the success will be there in the NFL since there is plenty of work to be done before he has a chance of starting.
At least with his athleticism along with physical style of play, Hurts has all of the right tools to be successful in the NFL, if he were to join the Eagles as a backup, he could develop into a solid No. 2 option for years to come.
