895. . . . Curtis Weaver. 6. player

Six-foot-three, 266-pound Curtis Weaver terrorized the Mountain West Conference with 52 tackles, 13.5 sacks, three passes defended and forced fumble in 2019 while making a name for himself as a member of the Boise State Broncos.

Add a brilliant 14-game final run to the other 26 games he made an appearance in, and we’re talking about 128 total tackles, with 72 solo stops and 47.5 tackles that resulted in a loss of yardage. Weaver also recorded 34 sacks, two interceptions, six passes defended, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and a defensive touchdown.

Not bad.

He earned Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year honors and First-team All-MWC honors in 2019. Heading into the draft process, he’ll need to take advantage of every opportunity given, particularly the NFL Combine, if he figures to grab the attention of many of the pro teams who will be looking for a defensive end in the 2020 NFL Draft.
