2. Chris Jones

Normally, the offense of the Chiefs receives most of the attention for the success, and rightfully so when seeing how effective Patrick Mahomes has been over the last two seasons.

But believe it or not, Kansas City’s defense was one of the main reasons behind the team ending the regular season as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, and will be heavily relied on when facing Tennessee this weekend.

If Mahomes continues to play on a high level, and the defense makes things complicated for Tannehill, there’s every reason to believe the Chiefs will be punching their ticket to the Super Bowl.

When looking at which players will be most important for Kansas City, even though Chris Jones has been dealing with a calf injury, and missed the Divisional Round, the defensive tackle still deserves to be on this list since he is technically questionable at the moment for Sunday.

One year after setting a career high of 15.5 sacks in 2018, Jones came up big once again for the Chiefs this past season by finishing with nine sacks.

Applying as much pressure as possible to Tannehill will be extremely important for Kansas City, and if Jones can play, this would be huge.

Even if Jones is unable to suit up, this shouldn’t prevent the Eagles from considering him either this offseason.
