Dante Fowler,. 1. player. 51. . .

Prior to 2019’s season, the Los Angeles Rams gave Dante Fowler one of those ‘prove it’, one-year deals that Howie Roseman and the Eagles always seem to want to dish out. Fowler definitely made the most of an opportunity. This defensive-end/outside linebacker hybrid did everything that the Jacksonville Jaguars hoped he could do when they selected him third overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Fowler was underwhelming for the Jags, playing in 54 games and starting one of them. Jacksonville gave up on him after seven games in 2018, and just like that, it appeared Fowler’s career, one that produced a measly 53 tackles and 14 sacks (solid but not what you want from the third-overall selection) was at its end.

He’s seemingly turned the corner in L.A., playing in 24 games and starting 20 of them. He’s racked up 58 tackles with 40 solo stops. He’s also racked up 13.5 sacks over that span. Pay very close attention to him as we move closer to the free agency process. He isn’t a slam dunk choice by any means, but he’s young. In many ways, he’s also like Graham.

He’s a guy who had immense expectations heaped on him early. Patience paid off with B.G. Patience could prove to be fruitful with Fowler as well. He’s had his wake-up call. He’s a team guy, and he wants to play well. Sometimes, that’s all it takes for someone to be great.
