Troy Pride Jr.. 3. player. 819. . .

Troy Pride Jr. was a very solid cover guy for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2018, but after Julian Love left and the light shone solely on him, we learned a lot while we watched him tally 40 tackles, six pass breakups, and an interception.

Yeah, he’s good, but nothing stands out about him, so a decent season that had very little sizzle didn’t increase any opportunities of him rising on any draft boards. Instead, this wound up being a season that didn’t change our opinion of Pride one way or another.

The questions that we had about him before the 2019 season are the same questions that we have about him now. Is he exceptional, or is he just look good when someone better is on the other side of the defensive formation?

Lamar Jackson. 4. player. 810. . .

No, we’re not talking about the phenom quarterback named Lamar Jackson. This is the other guy. Obviously, that’s a joke (a bad one). Nebraska Cornhuskers cornerback Lamar Jackson has probably heard that one more times than he cares to remember.

He’s long and rangy, something NFL scouts will like, but he hasn’t proven that he’s very stout versus anyone’s running game, and he’s not a burner or a playmaker. With all of that being said, here’s a very serious question. Is he better suited to be an NFL corner or an NFL safety?
