Philadelphia Eagles best moments of Andy Reid’s era

Miracle at the New Meadowlands
It was week 15 of the 2010-2011 season, and Reid’s Eagles were in a tightly contested race for the NFC East that would ultimately come down to the head-to-head tie-breaker between themselves and the New York Giants. The Eagles were off to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., to seal the fate of their season.
The Eagles were down 31-10 with just under eight minutes to play. Then, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was able to connect with Brent Celek for a 65-yard touchdown, but there was still a 14 point deficit with time ticking away. To keep the momentum going, Reid called for a surprise. The Eagles lined up in regular kick-off formation but executed a successful onside kick to send the offense right back on the field. Philadelphia chipped away at the gap again with a touchdown on a quarterback draw from Vick on that drive.
After a Giants punt and 50 yards of Vick scrambles, and the Birds were again knocking on the door of the New York end zone. With a 13-yard pass to Jeremy Maclin for the touchdown, suddenly the game was tied with a minute left to play.
Amazingly, the best was still yet to come. With seconds left, the Giants were set to punt. Most fans’ minds had probably already shifted to overtime at that point, but DeSean Jackson had other plans. After bobbling the line-drive punt, Jackson plowed straight down the middle of the field through his teammates’ blocks, running down the length of the goal line before crossing the plane for the game-winning score as time expired.
It’s been referred to as the ‘Miracle at the New Meadowlands II, Miracle at the New Meadowlands, and even the New Miracle at the New Meadowlands. No matter what it’s called, Philadelphia fans will remember this game forever.
