Should the Philadelphia Eagles consider an acquisition of former All-Pro Eric Berry? Don’t rule this one out. It could be a good idea.

Are you ready for some unexpected news that should surely raise your antenna if you’re an NFL fan?  This should do it. Free-agent safety Eric Berry who’s formerly a fifth-overall selection that racked up 440 tackles with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2010 to 2018 announced that he would return in 2020 and that his sitting out of the 2019 season was intentional. Could you see the former five-time Pro Bowler in Philadelphia Eagles green?

On the surface, it seems like something that you would think about but then dismiss quickly. On the surface, it just feels like this would be another example of Philly overpaying for aging talent, but let’s all slow down a little. Why wouldn’t you, at least, give it some thought if you’re a member of the Eagles’ brass and leadership structure?

The news of Berry’s decision came on Saturday morning, courtesy of the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Take a look at this one.

We’ve all got a few minutes to spare. Let’s dig into this one, shall we?
