54. . . . Week 9 2015: Eagles 33, Cowboys 27 in OT. 13. player

Who would have thought that Sam Bradford would have done anything that would have earned a spot on this list? Yep! ‘Sammy Sleeves’ made the cut. 2015 was one of those seasons where even Eagles fans probably even needed to buy a program to keep up with who was on the team and who wasn’t.

Chip Kelly was doing Chip Kelly things. Philly’s all-time leading rusher (who was still in his prime at the time) LeSean McCoy was traded to the Buffalo Bills for something called Kiko Alonso. Nick Foles was traded to what was then the St. Louis Rams for Sam Bradford and draft compensation.

In McCoy’s place, the Philadelphia Eagles signed DeMarco Murray to a five-year, $42 million deal on March 12th, and ever since that season, the argument has been that he was never used correctly until the Eagles fired Kelly with just one game to play and interim head coach Pat Shurmur led the Eagles to a win over the New York Giants in the finale.

2015 featured some highlights though. One of which was a game where they traveled to Arlington for a Sunday Night Football game on Sam Bradford’s birthday. This was a good one, and even though he’d be lost for the season in this one, rookie Jordan Hicks provided one of the highlights with his pick-six and Bradford’s final drive in overtime. ‘Sammy Sleeves’ helped seal things with a 41-yard game-winning touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews in overtime.

Beating the Cowboys is always fun. Beating them in primetime and in dramatic fashion is always a memorable experience.
